As new production personnel join the company they all undergo a six week training course covering all aspects of harness manufacture, this training is delivered by a dedicated trainer and a member of the quality department, once an operator can demonstrate competence in each element of manufacture they are allocated a unique stamp which is used to sign off each production operation.

Cablescan has a programme to train and develop each team member, the company encourages feedback and suggestions from team members at regular communications meetings.

A skills matrix is maintained for every person in the organisation. This forms the baseline for individual personal development and performance reviews (PDPR)


Cablescan have adopted the IPC620 set of standards to complement our own internal and customer specific standards. Before a new project is introduced to production, any customer specific and quality requirements are identified, these requirements are delivered to members of the production team by our in house IPC620 trainers. Cablescan recognise that each customer has different expectations so this is an important part of project launch.
